JOY TO THE WORLD – PARTS 1 TO 6
Heb 12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

THE JOY OF THE LORD
Joh 17:13  And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

Part 6 of 6  Joy – The Disciples/Believers & Divinity  (>> Disciple <<)
Joh 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Christology Series – A Spiritual Believer Defined (>> Disciple <<)

For our Purpose a “Christian Believer” or Disciple expresses Belief, the Assent of the Understanding to the Truths of the Gospel. It implies, with this Assent of the Mind, a Yielding of the Will and Affections, accompanied with a humble Reliance on CHRIST JESUS for Salvation through Faith in HIS Name.

Belief, like Faith, is one of the Spiritual Principles of the Kingdom of GOD. Belief occurs when the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT causes a change of Heart, the Affections or Disposition, in which the Enmity of the Heart towards GOD and HIS Law and the Obstinacy of the Will are subdued, and are succeeded by Supreme Love to GOD, HIS Moral Government and a Reformation of Life. When CHRIST healed the people, during HIS Ministry on Earth, HE often Declared they were“Healed, Saved, or Made Whole”because of their Faith/Belief. It was through their Belief in CHRIST and on HIS Name that they were Healed. Belief/Faith is Instrumental in the Plan of Salvation. It is required to Please GOD and to become a Son of GOD.

Joh 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Luk_7:50  And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

Mat_9:22  But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Mat_15:28  Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Luk_18:42  And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

Being a Believer means to Believe GOD:

Joh 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 

Joh_6:28  Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Joh 6:29  Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Mar_1:15  And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Faith and Belief are “practically” synonymous. Its opposite is  >> Unbelief << which paved the way for Disobedience to slip into the Lives of Adam and Eve, our First Parents. Unbelief caused the Sin which was the downfall of Mankind through Adam. It was >> Unbelief << that kept the Jews from entering the “Promised Land” and prevented their entering into the Rest of GOD. On one occasion CHRIST did not do many mighty Works in a particular city because of their Unbelief. Their Unbelief did not hinder HIS Power but their hardheartedness made them unqualified to receive the Gift. They had no Faith and they did not Believe in or on CHRIST.

Mat_13:58  And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Divinity

Divinity is the State of being Divine; Deity; an Aspect of the >> GODHEAD; << the Nature or Essence of GOD, the FATHER, SON, HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT. It is the Science of Divine things. It is the Science which unfolds the Character of GOD, the FATHER, the SON JESUS CHRIST, & the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT – the Comforter. Divinity encompasses >> GOD’S Laws, << Spiritual and Moral Government; GOD’S Expectation of the Duties of Man, and the Way of Salvation. It is also, in Theology, the Study of a System of Divinity.

The Draw/Call of GOD

Joh_6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Col_1:13  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  

When a Person hears or feels the Draw of GOD, it begins a Process.  It is the Beginning Awareness of the Way, the Truth and the Life that is in JESUS CHRIST. When GOD Draws the Individual HE Delivers them from the Power of Darkness and they are Translated into the Kingdom of HIS Dear Son.The individual undergoes Spiritual Conversion (Born Again), Grows Spiritually through Faith and through the Empowering HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT, they begin:

  • To Respond to the Call/Draw of GOD
  • To >> Choose << to >> Become A Disciple << /Believer in/of GOD/JESUS CHRIST
  • To Study to receive Spiritual Knowledge for the Edification of the Soul.
  • To receive Regeneration by the Indwelling of the >> HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT <<
  • To become Spiritually Empowered
  • To Spiritually Comprehend the Light of Divine Truth that will Dissolve the Darkness of >> Carnal Deceptions, << and its Illusion and Delusion;
  • To Possess Spiritual Consciousness with the Spiritual Ability enabled to absorb Divine Reality,
  • To Partake of the Divine Nature of GOD
  • To Illuminate and Renew the Mind and Heart
  • To Spiritually Transcend the Carnal World

No person can do any of the above on their own. A Believer must be Receptive to the Operations of the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT to Work within them. Therefore, the Goal of the Believer is to follow after righteousness, to Partake of the Divine Nature, to be One with JESUS CHRIST and GOD the FATHER through the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT and to Attain Godliness and Spiritual Joy. CHRIST refers to this as Abiding in the Believer and the Believer Abiding in HIM. HE also declared the FATHER would Abide (make HIS Abode) with the Believer as well. This is the full meaning of the Believer Being the “Temple of GOD”.

1Ti_4:8  For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

1Ti_6:11  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Joh_15:2  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Joh 15:4  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Joh 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Joh_14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Joh 14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

1Co_3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1Co_6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Born of the SPIRIT

Mankind was created (in the Image of  GOD) with Spiritual Faculties for Reasoning and Understanding the Divine and Spiritual Things of GOD. But after the Sin of Adam and Eve and after their Spiritual Death they were Separated from GOD and the  Spiritual Faculty was Lost, as was Mankind. When Sin and Death entered into the World Man was Conceived and Born thereafter, (Spiritually) Dead in Sin, made in the Defective Image of their Natural Human Parent, Adam.

This was True until JESUS CHRIST came into the World to Save Mankind. Now, after a Person Accepts JESUS CHRIST and receive the Water Baptism they receive the Promise of the Gift of the >> Baptism of the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT << and they are >>  BORN AGAIN  << of GOD and Reconciled to HIM through JESUS CHRIST. They receive Spiritual Regeneration/ Spiritual Rebirth. See the aforementioned links.

Rom 8:16  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

The Fruit of the Spirit is as follows:

Gal 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

In addition to the Spiritual Gifts the Believer receives and Displays >> “Spiritual Fruit” << which are Manifestations and/or Proof of the Operations of the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT which Empowers the Believer enabling them to Live in a Fallen World without being a Part of it; in the World but not of the World. It may be perceived as the Fruition of the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT.

The Believer – Partaking of The Divine Nature

2Pe 1:4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The Believer receives >> “Exceeding Great and Precious Promises” << and is a Partaker of the Divine Nature of CHRIST/GOD, Enabling and Empowering the Believer in their Life and in their Ministry. 

Through the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT and through Attaining a Life of Godliness, Believers receive:

  • A complete Knowledge of the Doctrines of the Gospel through a Life Time of Learning;
  • Unison with JESUS CHRIST, the FATHER, the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT
  • Unison with the Spiritual Church
  • The Power to Preach, Teach and Share the Gospel;
  • Spiritual Wisdom – how to Conduct themselves in all Circumstances and Situations
  • When and where to Preach and Teach to a variety and different types of People;
  • Miraculous Powers that Affirm and Confirm their Ministry and Mission.

2Pe 1:1  Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

2Pe 1:2  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
2Pe 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

2Pe 1:4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2Pe 1:5  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2Pe 1:6  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

2Pe 1:7  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Pe 1:8  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Pe_1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

 Study your Bible

A University is not necessary to study Theology. We can conduct a Bible Study of JESUS CHRIST, the HOLY FATHER and the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT with very little but very necessary things.  The only Book Necessary is the Bible and the only Instructor required is the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT as your Teacher and Revelator.  See the articles >> Titles of the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT #1 << | >> Titles of the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT #2 << and their Descriptions to see how many ways the SPIRIT helps us through our Spiritual Journey. 

Joh 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Of course other Supplemental Resources are very helpful but they are not totally necessary if one employs the >> Spiritual Gifts, Talents, and Abilities <<and the >> Fruits of the Spirit << given to the Believer when they Accept JESUS CHRIST as their Savior and Lord and receive the Indwelling of the >> HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT. <<

The Abilities alluded to earlier (“Spiritual Gifts” etc) are many and are Imparted by the Grace of GOD through the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT. There is no limit to how many Gifts one Person may be given but there are Scriptures that allude to losing them if the Believer does not use them or produce “Spiritual Fruit” from their Gifts such as the >> Parable of the Sower << from the Book of St John. The GODHEAD

The >> GODHEAD << consist of the FATHER, SON and the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT. GOD is one GOD with the SON and the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT  Co-Existing, Co-Eternal, Co-Equal and are One in Co-Operation. They are of the same Essence, Substance and have Identical Attributes, however, they Display Distinction in Titles, Offices and Functions. The Distinctions are recorded on several occasions such as The >> Creation Narrative << and the Baptism of JESUS CHRIST where all three Manifest and Interact on the Physical Plane.

  • Gen 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
  • Mat 3:13  Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
    Mat 3:14  But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
    Mat 3:15  And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
  • Mat 3:16  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
  • Mat 3:17  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
  • Joh 12:26  If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
  • Joh 12:27  Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
    Joh 12:28  Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

In the example above JESUS CHRIST is being Baptized, the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT alights and remains on HIM and the FATHER acknowledges HIS SON from Heaven. Each Member of the GODHEAD is Actively Present.

The  FATHER, the Word (CHRIST) and the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT were Spirits in Heaven so when GOD began HIS >> Divine Plan << and the >> Grand Design, << a Body was Fashioned for CHRIST to Inhabit to do the >> Ordained Works << on the Physical Plane on Earth. See the links for detailed articles.

Luk 1:31  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

Heb 10:5  Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

Col 2:9  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Perfection of the GOD

Attributes, Characteristics and Names of GOD

Omnipotent, Infinite and has many Attributes that Depict the Immensity of HIS Power and the Right of HIS Sovereignty. See the >> ATTRIBUTES OF GOD << and the >> NAMES OF GOD << which include Appellations and Descriptions.

JESUS CHRIST in the Eternal GODHEAD
In the Beginning was the Word (JESUS CHRIST) who is Eternal, and as long as HE – IS ) there is no Exhaustion of HIS Omnipotent Power (See >> RELATIONSHIP & RELATIVITY. <<  The Earth, its People and the other inhabitant’s Existence is dependent on HIM.

HE has the Preeminence. HE is the FIRST of EVERYTHING – the I AM. There is no other Being like HIM in the Universe/Cosmos, HE is Unique; CHRIST Upholds the Whole Universe/Cosmos; the Planet Earth in its Orbit, the Sun for its Purposes, the Moon, Stars, Oceans, Seas and the Seasons in their Cycles. HE made Everything and Everything was made for HIM and by HIM all things Consist.

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2  The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Act 17:28  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring

Col 1:15  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Believers – The Children of GOD & The Children of Light

Psa 82:6  I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Joh 12:36  While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

Eph 5:8  For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Learning  – Divine Knowledge
“The more Believers Learn about GOD, the Higher will be their Conception of GOD; the Higher the Conception of GOD, the better they will Know HIM; the better they Know HIM, the nearer they will draw to HIM; the nearer they draw to HIM, the more they will Love HIM; the more they Love HIM, the more they will imitate HIM; HIS Goodness, Mercy, and HIS Love of Man.” – The Coffeehouse of Surat.

Rom 8:16  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Rom 8:17  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Rom 8:21  Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

1Jn 5:2  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

The Bible – A Spiritual Manual
GOD has Bestowed to us a Holy Book – >> the Bible << that explains everything we need to know about HIM and the Destiny of Mankind. It is up to us to Read it; Study it; Research it; Believe it & Share it. It is a part of the Spiritual Life of a Believer and depicts the Inheritance of Believers who are the Children of GOD.

Act 17:11  These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Mat 12:30  He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

The Bible History
The Bible delineates the complete picture of Man’s Creation from the “beginning” and it includes his History that Continues and Fast Forwards to Mankind’s Future, his Spiritual Developmental Stages and the Final Spiritual Maturation of Mankind when Believers will possess a Glorified Body. The Bible contains  Prophetic information (data) and Historical information which may be Researched, Correlated, Compared, Contrasted, Studied, Verified, Affirmed, and Confirmed. The Biblical information, which was written thousands of years ago, include the past, our current Time, and the Future. This alone depicts that it must be from Superior Sources of Intelligence (the GODHEAD) FATHER/SON/HOLY SPIRIT. Although it was written thousands of years ago by many people it has retained a single Topic which GOD Reveals to Mankind in Dispensations.That Topic is the Redemption and Salvation of Mankind.

CHRIST Will Make All Things New

Rev 21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

When a Individual becomes a Believer/Disciple they become a new Creature. They are United to CHRIST as in the Discourse of >> “The Branches and the Vine”. << CHRIST JESUS becomes the Life Source within and without. All Dependence is on JESUS CHRIST as the “Bread of Life”. CHRIST is the Living Spiritual Nourishment of the Believer and he is Sustained by CHRIST as the FATHER, SON & HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT Abides with the Believer.

2Co_5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Gal_6:15  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Joh_14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Joh_15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

1Jn_2:24  Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Rev 21:6  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Rev 21:7  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
