SERMON ON THE MOUNT

THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT

4.  BELIEVE IN CHRIST

Joh 3:15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Joh 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Joh 3:17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Joh 3:18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Wrath of GOD On The Children of Disobedience

The World is Divided into >> 2 Divisions of Mankind. << Believers and Unbelievers, Sinners and Disciples, Obedient Children to GOD and the Children of Disobedience.  Disciples Believe in/on CHRIST JESUS and have Faith and Trust in Him. Mankind must >> Choose >> to Believe that CHRIST is who He said He is. He is the SON of GOD and He came to Earth to Save those who Choose to >> Serve the Kingdom of GOD, << Free from Sin. When CHRIST Died on the Cross he took away the Curse of Sin, which befell Mankind due to the >> Sin << of Disobedience and the >> Unbelief << of >> Adam & Eve, << which is Death – the Last Enemy of Mankind which CHRIST will Destroy when CHRIST JESUS >> Destroys the Works of the devil. << Those who do not Believe in/on CHRIST as Master are the Children of Disobedience and Children of the devil.

1Jn_3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

1Jn_3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Rom_1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Luk_22:70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.

Joh_3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Joh_11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

2Co_1:19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.

Joh_3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Joh_1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Heb_2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Joh_5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Joh_6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh_10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Those who Believe in/on CHRIST JESUS will no longer be under the Wrath of GOD because CHRIST gave His Life as a Ransom for the Captive World of Mankind and Came to Bring Abundant Life, Redemption, and Freedom – Liberty, which He had in Himself, to Make the Captives Free. But those who choose not to Obey GOD and do not Accept and Claim CHRIST as Master, Savior, Lord and King Remain under the Wrath of GOD.

Joh_10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

1Pe_3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Joh_17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

Rom_1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Rom_2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

Rom_2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

Rom_4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

Rom_5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

CHRIST JESUS through >> His Perfect Obedience to GOD, << Suffered Death for every Man because of the Penalty of Sin – the Punishment of Death. After His Death CHRIST JESUS Arose again through the Power and Operation of GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT. It is the >> Eternal Works of CHRIST JESUS << including the Incarnation, Ministry, Death, Resurrection and Ascension that CHRIST Conquered Sin, Death and the Works of the devil. This is important to Understand because the Resurrection of CHRIST JESUS Established that GOD Accepted the Recompense by way of the Sacrifice of CHRIST JESUS for the  Sin of the World for GOD was in CHRIST JESUS Reconciling the World to Himself.

Rom_6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Php_2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

1Pe_3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

2Co_5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

His Resurrection Affirms the Forgiveness of Sin and Assures Man’s Future >> Resurrection into Eternal Life.<<  In a sense you can say the >> Covenant << which is a Contract between GOD and CHRIST was Ratified in the Resurrection of CHRIST. All of Mankind was under the Curse of Sin and Death because of the Sin of Adam however, in  CHRIST JESUS all are made alive – >> Born Again << by the Regeneration of the >> HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT. << and the Renewing of the Disciple’s Mind.See the Blog about >> GOD & CHRIST in the Covenants << & >> GOD’S DIVINE COSMIC WILL << through the Covenants.

1Co_15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Joh_17:3  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

1Co_15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Rom_5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Joh_5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Joh_8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

1Jn_5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

5.  Obedience, Love, & Perseverance.  undefined

Joh_14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Joh_14:24  He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

Obedience is one of the most important key ingredients to Spiritual Growth.  Obedience, Love and Perseverance complete the cycle of Discipleship. Read the Bible, Pray and ask the FATHER for HIS Will in your LIFE.  Get in tune with the FATHER by Communing (Praying) with HIM through CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT.  Be in union with the FATHER, Son and HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT As a Part of the Family in Heaven as a Child of GOD.

Joh_14:21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

6.  Charity – Serve Others (Heart Service)

Mat 25:35  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Mat 25:36  Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Mat 25:37  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Mat 25:38  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Mat 25:39  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Mat 25:40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Commercial Christianity has changed the meaning of this word so much that people often look upon “Charity” as something demeaning and undesired.  But CHRIST did not teach it so.  Charity has very little to with money in itself.  It is the Act of Provision.   In the Scriptures above HE depicts how the Spirit of Charity must come from the heart and should be given to anyone, even a stranger if it is needed.  Once done it is as though it had been done to Oneself and the Disciple of CHRIST will be rewarded accordingly.

1Co 13:1  Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
1Co 13:2  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

In contrast Paul states in the Scriptures above and below, Charity comes from the Spirit and the heart not the pocket or purse.  Although these acts may be “acted out”, if it is not Charity,  “Spiritual Love” (Person to Person), It is Nothing!

1Co 13:3  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Finding a way to be involved in the lives of others is a sure way to grow Spiritually.  Charity specifically refers to the Love that we have towards other people. Paul stresses that we are to walk “charitably” toward our weaker brothers. He praised the Thessalonians because “the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth” (2 Thessalonians 1:3.   In 1 Peter 4:8-9, Peter told the believers, “And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging.”

7.  The Great Commission)

Act 16:14  And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

When other people are asking you questions about the Bible, or your WALK in CHRIST, you will become  studious of GOD’S WORD and made aware of your Spiritual image.

In Romans 1:16 Paul states that he is not ashamed of the Gospel. As you grow you too will want to tell others about your Relationship with JESUS CHRIST.  Be Creative and find ways you can share your testimony.  There are tracts and booklets you can use to hand out as you are prompted by the HOLY SPIRIT.

Rom 1:15  So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
Rom 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

As a child of GOD you have been given the GIFT of SALVATION through the Gospel. This is a gift that is available to others as well, but they need someone to tell them about the LOVE of GOD and the FORGIVENESS available to them through CHRIST JESUS.  So, be a witness to them.  We have a witness tool that is very easy to share.

If you would like to have more information about this tool use the Form below.

Write WITNESS TOOL in the Subject/Comment line.  We’ll send you additional information.  There is also a Free Training Program to help you in Sharing this Wonderful Gift that you can just keep on Giving.
